Neal,
You know what, I just realized how stupid I was. I am getting ready to order race tires and I wish I would have ordered them with the wheels and had them mounted and heat cycled.
Now I'm going to have to take them somewhere local to get them mounted up and I'm sure they will charge me an arm and a leg for it. Oh well, you live and learn.

A Stock on these wheels?
SCCA rules say for Stock class the wheels have to be the same width and diameter as the stock wheels, the only thing you can change is the offset by +/- 0.25 in. See http://www.scca.com/_filelibrary/Fil...solo_rules.pdf
Neal,
On the Tire Rack website the 18x9 version of these wheels are recommended to run 235/40-18s the 9" wheels should handle 255/40-18s. DO you know why the 235s are recommended?

Those really look awesome!!
Are you sure they'll clear the calipers? Where are you getting your ohlins from?
Since your from MI you might want to check out satcar racing. They use the same rules as a driving school in a road race setting. Cost is WAY less than driving a SPEC Miata or IT car.
Can't wait to see the pictures!!

The ohlins I got off a well known ESP race car. Changing spring rates and valving this year.
Thanks for the heads up on the racing. I will check into it.

Did they fit??
Did those coilovers make it back yet? I was wondering how the rims turned out.
I'm sitting on the fence right now as to which rims to get, either these or CCW's. They really look great in the pictures you have and the price is a lot better than the CCW's.
Obviously I can't wait to find out how they worked out!

Don;t want to brag but I was the first who had these rims installed at Tirerack in IN last June 2005. I bought them from Cali and took them to Tirerack and they put some nice rubber on them. I received a few compliments from the guys there and suggested to them to bring these rims onboard since they were cheaper than the one they already had on display. Don;t know if they took my recommendation but I'm glad they make these rims available. Enjoy them...they lok great.
