I JUST GOT THE CALL! Getting my calipers and wing replaced under warranty! I'm going in tomorrow to get the work order started. I'll post the results!

 

Funny.....my buddy took his car in for wing, door panels, and brakes. The only thing they are replacing is the wing and that is on back order. He got his call yesterday and they just said they won't replace his brakes and didn't give a reason.

My front right caliper is starting to peel just a tad. I may just put some clear on that spot and hope for the best. If not, I'll either try to paint it or just buy a used one off here.

 

I just got mine replaced, they gave me a hard time about it (like with my 3rd wing so far) but they did replace them at no cost.My car is still under warrenty though.

 

How are dealerships with replacing peeling brake on an evo 9? mine just started at 28k miles, just replaced rotors and pads. did not do any brake bleeding, however.

shop foreman said he had already replaced other evo brake calipers from peeling clear coat.

 

I have not herd of many IX's with that problem. I would just say bring it in and see what they say.
