Does anyone dislike the falken rt-615?
has anyone had any problems with the rt-615....all i read is positive comments...i just wanna make sure this is the right tire for me.... correct me if im wrong...theyre a little better in the wet compared to the stock tires..
im getting them in the 255/40/17 on stock sized rota's should i stick with reccomended tire pressure 32/29
i originally chose the eage f1...theyre 60$ more each 180$ versus 120 for the falkens....im more concered about wet traction of dry....thats when accidents happen...
cheers!

I love mine. Haven't pushed them in the wet and don't plan to. They aren't made with wet traction in mind, pure dry performance tire. For the price they are a great buy.

You guys aren't going to find a tire better than stock unless you want to pay up. You're getting what you pay for. A Falken Azeni is probably a reasonably good tire, but seriously, Falken isn't that old, they sell CHEAP tires. For the price - yeah, it's good. You have to remember, some of our cars are outrunning Lamborghini's, Vipers, etc. Super-expensive performing cars. So obviously our cars deserve a tire equivalent to what those expensive cars ride on, performance figures proving that alone.

Alot of those "Super-expensive performing" cars don't just have dry performance in mind. Most of those consumers wouldn't want the azenis because they are loud, stiff,or whatever even if they would outperform most of those in the dry.

You can't have both awesome wet and dry grip when it comes to tires. It is always a compromise, you can get awesome dry grip by sacrificing wet grip or you can get awesome wet grip by sacrificing dry grip. As VTECH8TR has said the Falkens are grippier than the A046 Advans in the dry but aren't as good in the wet. The newer Advan Neova's are supposedly almost as grippy as the Falkens in the dry with a better wet tread pattern but the cost $$. You can get a similar tread pattern to the Neova's with Hankook RS2 Z212s which are also very grippy in the dry.
If you want all out wet performance then you should consider tires with wet tread patterns eg:
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Yokohama ES100
Yokohama AVS Sport
Michelin Hydroedge
Etc.
Personally I would rather take better dry handling than wet because I don't really push the car in wet conditions ...

Wow, I didn't realize that these tires were so loud. Are they louder then stock? I was planning on getting a set soon, I guess I'll just have to turn up my stereo system an extra notch
