Just an FYI guys. In my suspension testing on the Evo IX I have found that lowering the front of the car is VERY bad for handling. If you like understeer go ahead and use uber low springs up front. GTWorx is doing right by thoughtful and competent engineering of their springs.

why is this? im not trying to start an argument im just trying to learn.

is it because with less drop there is more travel allowing more complete weight transfer?
cant the additional travel make upsetting the chassis easier though?

again not trying to argue just trying to find out.

Less drop in the front=less rake=less immediate weight transfer to the front under braking=less understeer (too much drop overloads the front suspension too quickly)

You must also consider the roll center of the car. If it is too low your roll rate goes through the roof and you'll transfer too much weight AND the car will roll even more.

So, less drop=less roll rate=more effective springs.

There is a LOT of rather dry engineering theory behind all this stuff that would dry your brain indefinately.

Cliff's Notes= It just works better.

Thanks Dave.

It's tempting to get the car low, but that's not the goal of these springs. Handling comes first.

The Whiteline Roll Center kit will be perfect with this kit....you'll have a lower cog and ride height, increased spring rates, and suspension geometry that's pretty close to stock (i.e. not ruined).

Whereas with other springs that drop the car too low, you've got a lower cog, increased spring rates, but a completely screwed roll center. So the car still rooolllllls.

and Dave....light beer? come on.....

First pictures I'll release will be on Dave's car, and it'll be the final, 100% finished production product.

I don't want to release any of the prototype ride heights, because people freak out .

No, these are OEM replacement springs for the stock dampers.

I do carry a wide variety of coilover springs in that rate....PM with the I.D. and length that you're looking for.

They're scheduled to be delivered to us the week of July 4th, and we will be here that week to ship them out.

The holiday shouldn't mess with that too much.
