Mitsubishi PDI on new cars - Is alignment supposed to be checked?
Does any one that works at a Mitsubishi dealership know if verifying that the wheel alignment is within factory spec is a standard part of the PDI process checklist?

Never seen a PDI alignment check done on a new vehicle but had my 06 RS realigned and the right rear was way out of spec, like horrible out of spec, do I remember the numbers ,,,,,,,,Nope,,, but after the realignment the car rolled much better. Felt like 20 more hp was added, my big dyno butt is very sensitive.

I have the PDI sheet for mine and IIRC alignment is not on it- but I will try to remember and check. It is mostly quick to check things like lighting, wiper, horn, HVAC, etc. I had the alignment checked on my IX with 3500 miles on it, and it was slightly out of spec.

I don't think they routinely check for alignment as part of PDI. when I got my IS300 as new in 2003 they had to replace all four tires twice because of poor alignment for free. so far, with the MR, the tire wear is holding up pretty good.

I doubt Mitsu checks alignment pre delivery. I do alignments every day and its supprising how far off many brand new cars are from the factory. I would highly suggest getting a alignment on a new car. Espically on a car such as the EVO that has expensive tires. You don't want to wear them out from a bad alignment. Take the car to some place that won't charge you if its not out of spec, and make sure you get a print out of before and after numbers.
Also somthing to keep in mind Mitsu dosn't give a front camber spec (at least not on the Hunter software i use). So your front camber could be at -2degrees and not technically be out of align. Tell the place doing it you want somthing like -.5 to -1 degree.
