good one....so true though.

if you lower the evo and your synchro goes out, your pretty much screwed.

"the lowering of the springs caused unequal torque pressure on the car and caused the 5th gear synchro to grind."

could anyone see a mitsu tech saying that.? i can.

They will say anything to get out of fixing a car. Mitsubishi should invest in some real techs to work on evos. imop

my dealership said coilovers OK, will only void suspension parts warranty.

all mitsubishi are the same in reality no matter what they say - MODS dont void the warranty, they just void the warranty for the parts you changed, as well as any parts immediately affected by the change.

This is where the grey area comes in. E.g. "That cat back system you have fitted was what caused your rocker arm to crack and fail" etc...err...no it didnt....so u have to involve 3rd party assessors/mechanics but at the end of the day DONT LET THEM SCREW YOU.

obviously they're not going to void warranty that does not relate to springs itself.

just dont expect them to replace your struts if they blow.

I'm afraid when I have a issue with my car, mitsu will most likely void it.

It will most likely void your cars suspension warranty. So if anything related to your suspension breaks don't expect to cover it ...

It can only void the part it is replacing. Suspension warranty voided, but then again, suspension is a wear and tear item, so trying to make a suspension claim in the future is pretty much useless.

There are many threads regarding Mitsu dealerships regarding warranty. Like most insurance companies, it is in their best interest to not honor any claims.
