what is this circular thing behind my wheel? (pic)

washed the car this morning and noticed this thing. its on the driver rear side. i looked at the passenger rear, but there is nothing over there. the balck arrows point to the thing im talking about, lol. im not sure if its always been there or not, never really paid attention, just saw it today.

I doubt this will be everyone's answer but just take it a Mitsubishi dealers and ask a mechanic. I am sure you get, "Oh that's a....".

yeah i thought about that. im going in pretty soon anyways for an oil change.

It is indeed to adjust the e-brake shoes. There are no bolts that hold the rotor to the hub, it's a free floating disc.

And I know this as fact as I've changed all my brakes and discs just recently

yup it has a rubber plug i changed my rotors too and when u take the e brake off and caliper is off rotor comes right out i think its sdjustment hole too

Correct. It is to adjust the rear brake shoe for the ebrake.

+1 on ebrake adjustment. I recently changed my rotors and pads all the way around myself.
