Which springs and camber settings?

I have a stock MR. I like to do track days and I don't want to do full coilovers until I become better at handling the car in mostly stock form. Which are best for this? I was thinking Hotchkis... and would the optimum camber setting be -2 f and -1 r?

Thanks.

Then you are talking camber plates also. Stock plates will limit you to I believe -1.5 in the front, but you can oval out the holes a little more to get to about -2 deg.

Springs and sways will run you about 3/4 to that of entry level coil-overs. I was in your shoes also, and for a little more cash I went for entry level coil-overs rather than spings, sways, and camber plates.

But I also found that -2, -1 works well on the track. I also stiffened up my rear dampner over my front settings - basically what a larger rear sway would do.

I would definitely look at the Swift springs. We've sold many many of them with only positive feedback from both trackday guys and street guys. And girls.

That is.....until we come out with our springs, which will be geared more for the track without sacrificing ride quality.

Your path doesn't make sense. Aftermarket springs to learn "stock form" then switch to CO. STick with stock then go to CO.

I believe he is refering to stock power.

Sorta, but the stock Evo power is good. And improving handling is always good, whether you have a Miata or C6 Z06, being able to turn (and brake) better will make you faster. Example - the regional SCCA Auto-X winner in ESP from my area has a 06 MR with only a Vishnu flash and TBE for power, but a full Ohlins suspension, brake upgrade, different rims, and sticky tires.

Andrew, do u have any guess as to when they might come out?
Would love to be the test case for your mr springs.

Never mind, just saw the other thread that said early 2007.
