Our stockers are painted. Any good paint shop or car painter can do it. It was $150 for mine. Mine had the tires off of them and I sanded off the Enkei logo and roughed up the wheel for better paint adhesion.

p/c can cause the rim to become brittle (aka high temp p/c). There is a low temp way to do it also, which is better and you should not have brittle rim syndrome.

I have a set of each and am surprised so many ppl prefer the VIII rims to the IX. The IX rims are much more attractive in my view.

I saw the 2007 Evo BBS rims and they are sick. The rims are hyper-black with multiple spokes

IX Wheels Rule

I like the IX wheels much more. I even bought a set for my Evo VIII before I traded it in on an Evo IX. I now own two sets of Evo IX wheels plus the IX MR BBS that came on my car. I use the BBS for street and the IX wheels for the track ( 13 track days since April 06 ). I let racing brake pad dust ( carbon/metallic pads stop incredible from 125mph but the dust rusts into your wheel paint ) kill the finish on my IX wheels so I'm taking them in for powder coating this week...new colors yet to be determined..probably black, anthracite, or gunmetal...
