Flushing the air out of tires by filling and purging doesn't increase the purity of the gas that the nitrogen generator produces. If it produces 95% N2, then the best you get in the tires is 95% N2, no matter how many times you fill and purge them. And one fill/purge cycle isn't going to remove very much oxygen. And, of course, if there's any liquid water in the tire, then anything short of unmounting, drying, remounting is going to result in wet 95% N2, which performs no better than wet air.

We put Nitrogen in our tires at Costco standard. Dont think its company wide yet but ours has it. The machine in hella expensive. The biggest claimed benefit is the air in your tires lasting longer. Most people agree there is no real benefit however. Theres no way I would pay $20 for it though.

time will tell if this is all really hype or real results in tire longevity and air stabilization. i see alot of points and personally ive gone with air in all my cars. race or not. street tires, slicks. whatever. if u like the idea go ahead your 20.

before any pressurised N2 is put into the tire, there is already 1 atmosphere of (N2, O2..Ar, kr, Xe CO2.....H2O......) in the tire, 0psig=14.7psia

You should fill them with Helium and reduce the rotational weight, you might even fly.... no wait that wouldn't be good you'd loose downforce, and there was that whole Hindenburg thing.....bummer, back to the drawing board.

lol.........helium is such a small atom(noble gas exist as atom...unlike N2)....you need to gas up every few days.

one good thing is helium has one of the highest thermal conductivity of gases..tires will stay cool

The Hindenburg used hydrogen..Big diference. Helium is an inert gas and is non-explosive.
If you want to use an exotic gas in your tires I would choose helium. You sound like Donald duck if you breath it so the Suby guys can understand you.

Using that as a basis for the decision we should all fill our tires with Radon.

helium is used as a "leak detector" gas because of its small atomic radii

xenon is a better choice..

I think the reason our system claims 98% is because we dont use a nitrogen generator. We have a bunch of nitrogen tanks that we have swapped out when they become empty. So we should be using pure nitrogen.

In the link I posted they claim 99% purity. The call 95% purity as "low grade."
