Only passenger front tire rubs? Anyone experienced this?
I just had a new set of tires installed tonight. They're cheapies, since this is my daily driver, and I'm running stock MR bilsteins with WORKS ride springs so the drop is very slight. The tires I bought are the AVON M550 Techs from Tirerack and are 255/40/ZR18's mounted on 18x9 SSR's.
Here's the deal: I'm getting rubbing on the passenger front tire --- right where the bell of the bistein flares out for the lower spring seat. It's enough contact that even lowering the tire pressure has no effect, and it's definitely going back to the shop tomorrow morning (Mitsu, BTW) for some attention --- mainly because the driver's front is absolutely fine! No rubbing or contact even when turning! It's just the one wheel. Weird.
Fortunately, my Mitsu dealer will take care of me, and we'll figure this out, but I was wondering if this happened to anyone else?
