265/35/18 on 18x9 +39

I just picked up my Wed's Sport 18x9 +39 wheels and am shopping for tires. It seems as though the 265/35/18 has the same overall diameter as the stock 235/45/17. I would like to keep the same OD, but I WILL NOT roll my fenders. I have heard contrasting reports regarding the 265. Some say they rub, some say they work fine. I know different tires have different dimensions within the same size. Will it work on my Evo with the 18x9 +39? I am looking for first-hand experience with the size tire. Feedback will be appreciated with size and tire pattern info. Thanks!!

I run a 255/35/18 Toyo T1-R on my 9.5 +28 CE's and its the perfect fit. No rubbing and didn't have to touch the fenders. If i were you i would go the same route with a 255 opposed to the 265

Thanks! I am definitely running Bridgestone's though (RE-01R or RE-050A PP) and the 265/35/18 is available, but not a 255/35/18.

I am also running coilovers, if that helps!

That is what I want to hear! Thanks for the feedback. I will compare the specs of the ASX and the RE-050A PP and see how close they are.

I got them from an Evo owner in South Florida. They were on ebay over Christmas. I think Tirerack has them on sale, as Wed's is no longer producing this wheel (discontinued).
