you both are wrong about wieght, they are withing 8 oz of each other depending on offsets...
I have seen several pics of evos with P45Rs and they just seem to stick out of the fenders way too much.
Personally like mentioned in here the polished center just kills the 5 Zigen. I even emailed them to see if they would do something custom like what Rota does and they said it can't be done. I even debated buying them and getting them powercoated, but why pay all that money for wheels and another $200.00 for power?
I just hate the idea of using spacers, just my pet peeve!

If you want original wheels, don't get the FN01RC, eeryone and their grandma has them. They are probably the higher quality wheels of the two though. If you don't like the polished centers then just get a different color. P45Rs look sweet, but face it, they are not the more practical, lighter, or higher quality wheel.

I don't know why everyone keeps bringing up the weight issue. The weights are the same, within a half pound.
Rota's are not heavy wheels and as for the quality who knows, I don't know what alloys the companies use so this could come into play. I have not heard of anyone breaking either wheel so it was never a thought in my head.'
There are alot of people with the FN01RC, but everyone has the bronze, silver, matte black, and hyper black. I have only seen two cars with the FN01RC's in the gloss black.

I had FN01RC on my S14 almost three years ago. I have seen and handled Rotas, friends have them. Upon close inspection you can see a difference in the quality of the casting. FN01RC are available in more sizes. I'm not saying Rotas are bad at all, the P45R are just not as much of a performance oriented wheel (and Rota is not as much of a pure motorsports performance company as 5Zigen) choice for an Evo because of the sizes available. IIRC, unless they added more sizes, the P45R clearance and width requires you to run relatively low offset, which makes them stick out, which looks sweet, but make you more likely to rub unless you're running less practical stretched tires. That's fine for most people, to each their own. I'm not bashing Rota at all, they are just fine for the market they fit, which may be people like you. 5Zigen may be better for people like me. That's all.

you have to do nearly the same fender rolling and work to get 285s to fit on either rim, they are within +5 offset of each other...the only major difference is that the fronts don't need a spacer where the p45r does...as for quality I have owned several rotas and a set of fn10rc on my evo and there realy isn't much difference, if anything i would say the rota was nicer as the paint on the fn10rc scratched and peeled off very easily (matte black)
