SSR Typr-C RS 18 x 9.5 +29 (finally pics...page 4)

Sorry heading should read - SSR Typr-C RS 18 x 9.5 +29

Hi from Aussie land,
I have been trying to search everywhere for info on the these rims, specifically in these dimensions 18 x 9.5 +29 to see whether or not they would fit over the stock E8 Brembos without spacers, but without luck.

I understand these are not the recommended sizes based on the various tyre shops websites, but wanted to find out if anyone has successfully fitted the SSRs 18 x 9.5 +29 on their car.

Cheers...

This is a very good question. I have always loved these wheels and would really like to see them on an EVO in a low offset like this. This is the best I could do for ya...

What's the difference?

I thought the Type-C was just the newest version of the Competition. And I remember back in the day when you looked to buy these on websites some places called them SSR type-C and some called them SSR Competitions so I thought they were the same thing. They look identical.

Competitions have a polished lip and I think a little different spoke design.

I dont think so. I have an old Turbo magazine with a WRX from back in like 2001 with gold Comps and they are just like the ones in the first post only gold. I think some shops just call them Type-C and Competitions. Like type-C is short for comp or something.

Hmmm....well actually from what I can tell they longer make the "competition" and make the type C and type CS which are different than each other. I know back in the day the competition was just like the type CS shown here though with the recessed hub. The only reason I know is because years ago I wanted them soooo bad on a white WRX. I drooled over those and the TE37s all the time. Looks like the product line has changed a bit in the last 7 years....lol

aside from the polished lip on the competitions, the differences are very subtle. main one is on the edge of the lip where it meets the tires on the type-c. kinda hard to explain.

haha yes. Depends if I go broke trying to compliance the ****!

Anyway I always thought old Type C and Competitions were the same. The RS have replaceed these rims and only come in Anthracite and Bronze.

The NEW Type Cs only go up to 16" Unless you get the Type C Euro version which only comes in silver. hahahah Fuggin confusing!!
