Advan RS 18x9 Tire size?

Keep in mind the overall diameter of a 255/40/18 is significantly larger than the stock Yokohamas. 255/40/17 are about the same diameter, so of course if you go up an inch in rim diameter and keep the same aspect ratio and tread-width...you are going to end up with a taller tire...
255/40/18, 255/35/18, or 265/35/18 are probably the best choices. Considering 255/40/18 and 255/35/18 are difficult to find in a decent tire, I would suggest 265/35/18. Any rubbing issues caused by the extra width would most likely be the similar to the rubbing of the skinnier but taller 255/40/18...

I got same rims 255/35's FTW. Neova tires are good but they wear out like a ****. I have my BFG wheels for almost 2 years still looks brand new.. my friends neovas are gone after 6 months.

Wow, and I thought the AO-46s were bad. But how do those KDWs perform in that size compared to the stockers as far as grip and feel?

Im running 245/40's on my 18x9 RS's. They do look just a tiny bit stretched. I mean a tiny bit too, nothing very noticeable. I'll take some pics tonight so you can see what I mean. Im running the bridgestone potenza re01-R's. I would have went 255/35 but couldnt find any tires I liked in that size.
Also have a friend running 255/35 RT615's on his 18x9 RS's, and he rubs like crazy. He's lowered quite a bit, has rolled the fenders, and now cut them. Still rubs a little bit. So I got scared and went 245/40.

I run a Bridgestone REO-50A's 245/40-18 on my RC II's and I love em' Very similar tire grip with the stockers

I wouldnt say it was better than the yokos but they handle very well and thread life is very good on the BFGs. Also they have a lot of sizes?

But I was also thinking if a 265 will fit in the back without rubbing but not the front then why not go with a 265 rear and 245 front. If the 265 rubs front and back then there is no reason to do it. Can anyone tell me where the 265 rubs?
