Advan RS 18x9 Tire size?

I have selected the rims I want Advan Rs 18x9 +29 but now the choice is what tire? I would like the car to have that crisp feel with it's insane steering response and I'm affraid that switching to anything but the A046 will not give me what I am looking for. My #1 choice is the RT-615's in a 255-40-18 what are you guys with Advan Rs's running out there? Also will the steering ever come close to the A046 tires? I assume since I am going with a bigger rim there is less sidewall to flex under load so the ride should be fairly stiff.

I would reccomend 255/35-18's instead of the 40 series. And if you can afford it, go for the Advan Neova's. (eve-slow)

The Neova doesn't come in that size.

These will work fine but will look stretched. The best is probably 255-35 although if it were me I would run some 265-35 RT-615s. That is what I plan to run when I finally get my RGIIs.

Im running 245/40's on my 18x9 RS's. They do look just a tiny bit stretched. I mean a tiny bit too, nothing very noticeable. I'll take some pics tonight so you can see what I mean. Im running the bridgestone potenza re01-R's. I would have went 255/35 but couldnt find any tires I liked in that size.

Also have a friend running 255/35 RT615's on his 18x9 RS's, and he rubs like crazy. He's lowered quite a bit, has rolled the fenders, and now cut them. Still rubs a little bit. So I got scared and went 245/40.

How would the Bridgestone S03's compare to the RT-615's in a 245/40/18?

Do you mean your friend has 265-35 RT-615s? They dont make them in 255-35.

My mistake, they are 255/40/18 for his RT's. He says they rub, but he has coilovers and its slammed pretty good. I wanted to go 265/35, and considering Im going with WORKS springs that are a slight drop I think I would have been fine. My next set will be 265's.

I,m using Bridgestone REO50A pole positions 245x40 18,s with my SSR 18x9,s. They are a fantastic tire. I like them much better than the stockers. Great in the dry and wet and very quiet.Steering response is just as good if not better than the stockers in my opinion.

I was just about to post that I think I am 100% on the RE050A PP's since many people say the steering response is dead on to the stockers. That is what I want something about the steering response of my car really gets me. lol
