RPM2 17 by 8 35mm offset don't fit...

Pretty rims, very light, but the web hits the brake caliper. Annoying, as I had found a listing on Enkei's site saying they fit the VII...

So now I call Discount and work on a return and getting some that fit.

That sucks, especially since the Enkei site says they'll fit.

How much more offset do you think you'd need to clear the brakes? Some 5mm spacers may do the trick, though that might push the wheels a little too far out then.

I was looking at their app guide for the Evo VII. Just went back to check it, and apparently they have updated things and do not even mention the RPM2s at all. Previously they had RPM2s and RP01s listed, now there is just the RP02.

That's messed up. Look what their old fitting guide says. Read the 17 x 8 and 18 x 8 see the little # attachment. Then read the small print. "The componets marked with a # are compatable with big caliper." Guess I'll have to call Enkei Japan on this one.

I'm probably going to get the RP02-J. Outdated design but 17lbs for cast!!! Then again people still like TE37's

http://www.enkei.com/highperformance/rp02-j.htm

$175 from Todd. He's alright

Hey, those are the same wheels I have on my WRX, I love them so much! That really sucks that they wont clear the Brembo's, its such a good quality wheel and they look fantastic!

RPO2-J doesn't fit with 17 x 8. I'm going for the RPF1's. 15.5lbs cast & spun

The 17 by 9" RPM2 40mm offset will fit... with a 3mm spacer on the fronts. it just needs a tiny bit more space.

We put the 17X9 +35mm on the RMR car and it worked great with the stock tyres. We also did the RPM2 Bortex 18X9 +38 that worked great also. I hope this helps.
