OK, alot of people have seen this pic many times on this forum and I've found it about 4 times and each time I hear different info. below is what i've read on this forum tonight after searching for info. I want to know the factual truths about this stuff because I'm looking to buy them. The questions below can be applied towards using 255/35/18 yokohama avs es100's because that is the tire I'll be using.


1. Spacers are required to fit them in the front? true or false?

2. Fender rolling is required in rear only? true or fales

3. Fender PULLING is required in rear? true or false


please help if you know for sure, thanks!!!

When i was thinking about this setup the info i gathered was as followed.

You will need spacers for the front to clear the factory brembos, either 5mm or 8mm, can't remember exactly.

You will have to roll the rear fenders.

I'll try to find the thread that guy had about his car and those wheels.

i'm curious on this info 2, i PM a few vendors about this wheels and not 1 single one could tell me exactly what i needed to make them fit .

Steve, that a friend of mines car..

1, No spacers are needed for these wheels. Offset is for the evo.
2, No fender rolling was needed.
3, No fender pulling was used to accomidate these rims and tires.

It's not hard to roll the fenders at all. I used this device with a heat gun on my car....

I have owned some Racing Hart J8's offset was 26. 19 by 9.5 on 245/40/19. The rears rubbed going onto a dip on the road, like when turning into a driveway. So I rolled my fenders. Never had any problems since. The front is fine. But this is where coilovers really help you.
But the evo can fit a fat setup under there for sure.

I have CCW 18 by 10's now. back spacing is 6.75. Tires are KDW 255/35/18
15mm spacer up front, 8mm in the rear

That is wierd, I remember reading a thread where the owner said spacers and fender rolling is necessary with that aggressive set-up.

I talked to the owner's friend that was goin with the same setup, EVO-L and he said there where on spacers needed. No front rolling needed but the rears did need to be rolled. From the pics of that car it almost looks like they were pulled abit.

Call Greg at GSC, I think he had the exact set-up on his evo when he bought it. I know he had 18" Work CR's with 255/35/18 tires but not sure of the wideth and offset of the rims.

Also, is your car lowered? If so, with springs or coilovers?

He is running a 255-35-18 BFGoodrich Tire. The Caliper and the front wheel have .002 or .02mm or clearance. Its smaller then a human hair, but if you feel safe running it, go for it. Now watch these wheels pop up all over the place.

hrm.. you know what i was thinking... wut about a staggered offset like a +20 front and a +30 rear...? u guys think that would work better?

So to clarify...

Getting these wheels in that size and offset with the same size tires will require fender rolling in the rear and have a very very tiny clearance on the front caliper?

If that's all, what can be done to the front wheels to widen the gap between them and the calipers?
