Clunking in the rear is a very common thing with pillowball topmounts in the rear. Evos are fortunate that you have your rear shock towers in the trunk where there's SOME insulation between you and the struts, the WRX and STi the strut towers are right underneath the rear seat where you can hear EVERYTHING from those rear struts.

I went through two sets of Tein FLEXes on my Subarus because of the clunk. They redesigned them after awhile for the STi but they still clunked, it just wasn't as bad.

So yeah, nothing is wrong, it's a very very common "problem" and there's no real way to get rid of it unless you go back to stock style topmounts.

For those of us with RS's, there is no such thing as sound deadening. I hear it all...
