Baer Eradispeed Plus Rotors

Are these rotors a true 2 piece "floating" rotor or just a 2 piece rotor?

I am going to get some 2 piece rotors and right now these are looking like the winners but want to make sure I am getting a true 2 piece floating rotor. Thanks for the help.

Looks like they are 2-PC for front and rear setups.

I am curious why you are emphasizing the floating aspect of the rotors?

I personally have street and tracked a set of racingbrake 2 piece non-floating and have zero complaints. They have done well with a 25 hour enduro at thunderhill and you can get them at a decent price through hotlapmotorsports.

Not judging your choice just recommending an alternative.

I called baer and the eradispeed plus rotors are a non-floating rotor.

Floating rotors are important because the aluminum hat expands at high temperatures and this can lead to the hat cracking during track days or really heavy breaking.

Racing Brake's 2-piece rotors have slots where the hardware connects the hat to the rotor, so they do allow expansion. I'm pretty sure most, if not all 2-piece rotors feature something like this.

Some places refer to the Racing Brake rotors as "True Floating", like that hotlapmotorsports website. They are great rotors though, and the only ones I've ever worn all the way down to the limits with no warping.

I think there's some confusion to what floating rotors really do...they are mounted somewhat loosely, and move side-to-side to minimize pulsing in the pedal in case the rotors get a bit warped. (or when pad material collects in one spot on the rotor and causes pulsing) They can rattle quite loudly and squeal because of this, so most companies don't sell them for street applications.

I talked to Stoptech today and they have confirmed that by the end of the month you will be able to buy 2 piece floating rotors from them or a dealer. Rotors will begin shipping as soon as you can buy them.

Are the Eradispeed Plus rear rotors compatible with the parking brake on the Evo?

Also, where did you guys purchase these from? What are the weight savings per corner in the rear? Thanks.

FWIW, I have been using undrilled, unslotted BAER Eradispeed rotors at the front of my Evo for a couple of years. I use the car primarily for HPDEs.

The rotors are non-floating, but I haven't had any problems with that. No "warping" and they wear very well with DS2500 pads. The rotor rings are starting to get near the wear limit, so I ordered some replacement rings from BAER last week. They came within a few days. BAER also supplies the special tool needed to replace the rotor rings on the aluminum hats. I've been very happy with these rotors.

The Eradispeed Plus rotors are not true floating.
They do fit the rear parking brake.
The rotors save 19Lbs if you replace all 4 stock rotors.
I have not tracked my car but the rotors hold up fine to HEAVY street use.
