I a firm believer in having data from a controlled test (different brake systems run on a similar car and going through similar tests such as mulitiple 90 - 0 MPH runs) to really determine how a product performs. The following test is what got me interested and believing in Stoptech :

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...ng-brakes.html

Until a test which puts the brake systems of Megan Racing go against AP Racing, Stasis/ Alcon, Brembo and Stoptech is put together, it's going to be hard to get credibility for Megan Racing Brakes.

Megan was a big (?) in my eyes yet the only thing i have seen fail is the manifold. The suspension i know about people running with no problem. So i dont think that the kit would be that bad.

yes its true that you usualy get what you pay for...however in some cases..you are only paying for a name...
for example...i have Puma sneakers that i bought for 60$..
i also have a look alike pair from Louis Vitton that i paid $340 for...

the difference is you might see a celebrity wearing the LV shoes...but how often do you see puma design clothes for celebs..
in this case....most porsches (couple of years ago models) sport brembos...alcon builds brake kits for cars like the ariel atom...and such...do you see megan build brakes for any top end car manufacturer?

i am not saying this Megan BBK is a good kit..nor am i bashing it...i am just trying to answer someone who said "i thought you always get what you pay for" earlier in this thread....
however ... until a proper test ON PAPER is documented publically ...
i am not sold on this BBK and would rather go with the more expensive but proven Alcon...

laterz

I am just telling you what We have tested personally at California Speedway, Buttonwillow, and Willow Springs, I did not record any data and yada yada yada, We tested both brake systems and the megans held up better, and It may be very hard to believe for you guys, but I thought the quality was better. Just throwing it out there. I will be purchasing these brakes soon.

How can you possibly state that it works better without any hard data to back up that claim? Also, what were the specs on the AP kit? I find it very hard to believe that can actually test without recording data. How can you possibly tell if there was any difference other than the driver's feeling or opinion. A proper test would compare driver feedback with hard data. I have never seen the kit, but if it is anything like their suspension systems.........you get what you pay for.

Think I'll stick with my pfc's and brembo stockers before I switch to Megan anything on my car hehe. If I was going bigger, it would be stasis/alcon. Sorry, but you just dont fiddle with things like brakes on your car that arent proven. Brake failure at 100mph? Ya, your dead. Wont see any bad reviews because they wont be around to give em

You may be right, BUT like I stated before I DO NOT have hard evidence, Don't get all on my case about it. Why don't you read my posts before you talk. I am merely putting it out there that they just came out, and from what WE/I have tested on THE TRACK. The megans held up better. YOU be the cool guy and spend your time testing them. I really don't care, just letting everyone in the evo community know that they are out and I THINK they are a good brake kit. Not trashing on other kits at all (previousely stated as well). And to be clear with you my test was taking our 500whp z on the track for a full sessioin with the Ap's pushing the car on the track, braking deep, everything, and towards the end the AP's had brake fade. With our Megans on the car, we did not experience anything.

Here are the Ap brake specs FRONT-

Megan Racing has been making waves with their track series suspension. Last set I sold locally, the gentleman took the "fastest car of the day" at the SCCA autox event. This is before the car was even aligned!
