H&R rear sway bar hitting ??? Tirerack
so i bought the 27mm rear sway bar from Tire Rack and its hitting my control arms when i go over certain bumps. another thing i noticed was the spacers given in the kit did not stay in place and worked there way loose.
any sugestions? anyone else have the same issues? i do have my car lowered about 2" all around with coilovers so is this the problem?

huh? everything i removed i replaced. there are 2 new brackets that hold the bar and the bushing to the car. in-between those new brackets there is a metal plate that goes on top of the bushing im assuming so that u dont over tighten the clamps. well they sliped and are not in place. but really that has nothing to do with the bar hitting my control arms. i have the bar on the first hole.

Try the following:
1. Raise up the rear ride height or
2. Install stiffer rear springs or
3. Install Perrin adjustable endlinks and adjust the orientation of the rear sway bar.

sorry, had an emergency that kept me from coming in yesterday.
that's quite a distance for the bar to travel and have it hit the arm. the only thing i can think of is the aggressive drop you have isn't allowing enough clearance for the bar. like DaWorst said above, i would try raising the car about 1/2" and see if that solves the problem. if it doesn't i can see what my fitment team says/check to see if any other customers have had this issue.

i think im going to order the perin end links, if that doesnt work, then im not sure what im going to do. i have coilovers so its not like i cant just replace the spring. i think i have 8k in the front and 6k in the rear. thanks guys

The Perrin endlinks enhance the 27mm bar, especially when you crank them tight and put the bar on "hard". I have this same setup and same problem. So far I have just put up with it and adjusted it from time to time with a hammer. When I get a chance I am going to pull the bar back out and drill the bracket directly above the h shaped cross piece and pin it in place with a bolt. As far as clearance between the bar and the camber bolts its close but I havent seen signs that mine is hitting and its aggressively low.
I have called and talked to people at H&R (I sell their product) and they didnt quite understand that there was a problem and that said problem needed fixed. I run their coilovers as well with 457# springs F&R (8.2k) for reference.
