better how?

you're going to get way more flexibility in your adjustment using camber plates as compared to the stock eccentric bolts.

Camber plates are almost always a better way to go. Bolts are a good inexpensive alternative but they can and sometimes do slip. Plates will get you reliable settings...however most will transmit a bit more NVH into the cabin as a result of using a solid mount with a spherical bearing instead of a rubber-isolated mount.

Yes, most camber plates raise the car a noticeable amount (anywhere from 3/8th to 1/2 of an inch, depending on how much camber you run). We have a very different design for our Subaru STi camber plates, but have not developed them for EVO yet.

We sell Cusco and Works plates.

I could only get -1.5 out of mine. I'm envious.

Going with coilovers and camber plates next year and planning to run a ton more negative camber for the track.

The stock is an eccentric bolt (oblong) that is designed to suit the diameter of the opening in the strut/knuckle. A camber bolt allows more adjustment by using a smaller diameter eccentric bolt so there is some dead space in the opening. This is what makes slippage possible. For daily driving it's not as likely to slip but I'd be hesitant to trust them in a track or auto-x situation. I've seen mixed results.
