PERRIN EVO Positive Steering Response System......

John has been swamped and asked me to help a bit.
STep 8 is only for EVO 10 guys. This small note was missed on those one above.
That is a step, not sure why its not above???
Nope doesn't matter loaded or unloaded. Just bolt and go!
Give us a ring, we would love to get these in guys hands to really pump them up!
John - I assume there is a seperate pic for Step 8?
Mine was waiting to go back in with whiteline roll center, so I'll install this when I get it. I can try and do a DIY, but machine shop may be where I get this one done coz it looks like it needs a HUGE dye to press the bushing back in....

Step 8 applies to Evo VIII's like mine, the control arm effectively move backwards and rubs against the inner body when compressed aka pushed up. I did have to grind both arms.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Has anybody ever been able to press out the original bushing in one piece? or is it like most of the bushings they get destroyed in the process.
Also is it to be expected that when using the offset PSRS, that the lower control arm front attachment bolt and bushing is going to have some binding because it is not alighned. I had my front end apart and noticed when the front bolt is in place and i pulled at the rear to simulate the offset bushing, it caused the front bushing to flex/compress a bit. I only pulled it out of alighnment a 1/2 in based on the pictures above.
Also does anyone know what the 4 bushings in the picture are for?

With a proper tool you can get the OEM one out with out hurtning it. We happen to have an old BOV that works perfect for this.
The bolt will not have any issues its the bushing that will be doing the twisting. We have been using them for a while, and similar applications on the Subys and never had issues. Its because the twisting is very minor.
the bushings in the pic are the spacers used to make it fit both the EVO 10 and 8/9. Hope that make sense! If ou do the ZERO offset bushings of course there are no problems. Let us know if you have more questions!

I received the PSRS and receive 6 spacers but the picture on your site has 4.
#9 in your instructions differ than #9 in the PDF file on your site ( http://www.perrinperformance.com/sha.../pepsus400.pdf )
So where does the short SS spacer go? Either under the medium spacer (zero anti-lift) or on top of the tall spacer (anti-lift)?
Thanks in advance.

From PDF
Install SS bushings into PSRS making sure to put the medium spacer on bottom and taller spacer on top. While holding spacers install control arm back into car. At this time decided weather to install short SS spacer on bottom (ZERO Anti-lift) or top (Added Anti-lift)

Oops... thought he'd strayed off topic vs. didn't know what he was talking about
The Whiteline is still MUCH cheaper though for roll center correction... both the Perrin and Whiteline kit together would be sweet for a lowered car!
