Sorry about the bickering....

If you're looking at increasing front grip and turn-in, than using a wider wheel/tire can be beneficial, but as stated--by others--only in moderation, as too much of anything will have negative consequences. Also, keep in mind that the differential transfers power laterally, whereas the TC transfers power front to rear. The overall diameter of the wheels including tires needs to remain the same (see the article in this forum about matching tires on 4wd or awd vehicles from Tire Rack).

Best to speak with Robispec or someone of the like (directly) as opposed to those they have "some" experience in the matter. Just make sure you keep the car balanced and keep good records during your suspension and handling changes.

Not really looking for a certain performance gain. Just have an option on a hard to find set of wheels they just happen to be 18x10 +32 offset and 18x9 +32 offset. The car will see the drag stip maybe 2-4 times per year and road course even less. Mainly just a fun car to drive ever-so often and do some car shows. I want an aggressive look, but don't want to be repalcing the diff from driving it 1-2 a week

I would be more comfortabe with only 1/2 inch difference front to rear, but with the same size tires you would be ok id say. better than trying to match different tire rolling diameters

The overall diameter is a simple equation for the tires...

For example we'll give our stock wheel and tire size:

(235*.45) * 2 / 25.4 + 17 = 25.32 overall diameter

So it's the width of the tire * aspect ratio * 2 --> all that divided by 25.4 and then you take that answer and add the wheel/rim diameter which should give you the overall wheel diameter.

Sooo to help you out and to prove that it's not hard to figure this out:

18x10 +32 offset and 18x9 +32 offset (same equation)

255*.45 * 2 / 25.4 + 18 = 25.97
