Brembo discoloration after track day?

Tried searching....

I have an EVO IX GSR.

My brembos (front) turned slightly maroon and the writing went yellow after a recent track day (running endless CCX pads). Is this normal? I'm guessing the heat cooked the paint - but would have thought brembos could withstand the heat of a track day? Was only doing 5 lap stints...

Looks like it. I recently sanded my brakes down with 400 grit sandpaper... sprayed them with duplicolor high temp red paint. Ordered the high temp brembo stickers on ebay, then cleared them with duplicolor high temp paint.

welcome to the club. i like to think of brownbo's as a sign that your driving the car how it should be driven.

As mentioned it is pretty normal. They turn brown when you drive it hard.

As long as you aren't experiencing any fluid fade you have nothing to worry about, it's normal when you are tracking the car hard. The front calipers on my STi are now dark brown, and I use brake cooling ducts
