255 vs 275 race rubber

There's a big thread (ultimate aggressive wheel thread I think) that details what people have done to fit 275+ tires on their car. Includes alignments, tires, rims, camber settings and more - check it out.

I'm in the same boat, ran 255's this year and considering running 275's next year. I do agree it depends on your track what's better. Generically would a lower speed track or a track with low-speed corners work better with a wider wheel?
Whereas a higher speed track with longer straights work better with a thinner tire?

yeah, higher speed corners favor more rubber, but long straights need thinner tires. sebring, homestead both (for me) favor smaller rubber.

again, if you're just tracking for fun, either is fine. but for those last tenths....
