BremBo Retainer PINS and CLIPS
#21
Any update on this?
Also what do the stock pins run at from the dealer?
I am looking at some rebuilt calipers but they are missing the pins and clips front and rear. Just wondering what they will add to the price? Would the clips come with the pads or does it depend on the brand used?

the evo five brembos use pin and r clips.as mentioned the subaru brembos and another you may not think of but could try modifying the pins and clips from four pot calipers on a landrover

You guys could also try to secure them with an acorn nut type of thing. Basically it's just a washer and cap that you pound on a piece of metal. The washer seals to the pin and makes it very hard to get off.

Sti Pins
Well the STI pins do not work the Hole for the cotter pin is 1mm in the caliper, thus no way to use them...
But one of my employees has a friend with a machine shop and is going to take the STOCK pins and just past the inside edge of the caliper going to put a grove in it for C clips i can snap on and who cares if i have to bust them to get off they are a dime for hundreds...
Once i have the new milled pins i will post pictures...
we are also going to produce pins with COTTER pins and see how they work these will be just like the factory etc we are going to make them local i will take shots and if any one is interested i can have some additional made once i know cost...
this is just a BAD design on MITSU's part for using friction based pins to hold them in.
