Pure/PIC TSO or TT coilovers. Track tested. For street/track go with the TSO. Pure Track set up go with the TT. The PURE/PIC was the runner up in the 06 EVO tuner Shotout by .2 second. The TT was 1.5 second faster at Mid Ohio compared to the TSO and much stiffer. Both have enjoyed some success in NASA TT program.

contact Pure Tuning at 419-474-2876 asked for Keith or Aaron.

You can also search for the Pure/PIC reviews on this site.

Oh it also fits your under $2 K budget, great support from PIC too.

Ive had the BC's on my car for 30k street miles now and they are holding up excellent just about 1k.

BC will replace them for 100 a side when they ware. Not too bad IMO

I think the Bilstein PSS9 are good for the street and occasional track. I'm not sure if they're 2 way adjustable or not.

Michael Grassl @ KW told me they make the Ralliart Coilovers, perhaps Bilstein & Koni also make suspension for Ralliart aswell.

Nice arrogant reply BTW.

Yes the current Ralliart coilovers are made by Bilstein.

Dave drove the only Ralliart EVO in the US to our open house this past weekend....I saw the Bilstein Ralliart coilovers with my own eyes.

BUT, there is at least one other Ralliart coilover for EVO. These guys:

From what I understand, they're not as good as the Bilsteins and only have 4 clicks of adjustment. My guess is they are made by KYB.

There is also a fixed perch strut/shock offering that has 4 clicks of adjustment, and the included springs raise the car a little bit. Intended for rally apparently.

Going farther back, you have these coilovers for I think EVO 6:

Not sure of the manufacturer of these.

I had also heard that KW at one time made a set of Ralliart coilovers, and I could have sworn I had even seen a picture. But I can't find anything now. Perhaps the above are made by KW.

Either way, the current sets of custom KW's, Ohlins', and some revalved Bilstein's are all extremely hard to beat.

Just read a post (from myself, like 2 years ago) that KW made coilovers for Ralliart Europe. Looked into it a little more and I don't think those are available anymore.

Back to the original topic of which coilovers...
I have a question that is a factor in my choices as well that hadn't occurred to me before:
From what I can tell based on their appearance, the KW V.3 do not seem to have ride height adjustment independent of spring preload, i.e. only the spring perch adjusts ride height, not a threaded lower bracket as well.

Does this mean that ride height adjustments affect spring preload. Please excuse my ignorance, I am just trying to learn more...

That is correct....KW V3's do not adjust ride height seperately from preload. But the helper spring takes up most of the preload anyway, and if you're at ride heights that you should be at for optimal handling, it doesn't really matter too much.

It's still a feature I wish they'd have, but they are still great and it's not a huge deal to me.

Thanks Andrew! It's the internals that I'm interested in... so I guess non-independent heigh adjustment < good and consistent valving.

Right, good valving is much more important then independent preload and ride height.

The new Ohlins DFV Sportlines do have both and are a good alternative if you don't want to mess with a 2 way coilover like KW's. Little more money though.

Pure/PIC coilovers. Under $2K ride height adjustable etc. We beat out cars equiped with KW's at the 06 EVO tuner shootout! Great support from PIC and PURE Tuning. Track Tested with results to back it up.

Sounds about right Andrew, as I said Michael Grassl from KW told me they had made shocks for Ralliart, and he had no reason to lie!

I've been involved and owned Evo's for near on 10 years, (Yes they did exist before they came to the US!) and in that time Ralliart have outsourced manufacture of their components to many different companies.

What about Tanabe. I am looking at the Pro 7, Jic FLT-A2, and Apexi N1. Just trying to decide which ones.
