blizzak LM255 I believe. Look at tirerack.com and you can find more info. I had them on my first winter of driving, never got stuck in 14inches of snow here in MN, plus I never spun out.

I run MIchelin Pilot Alpin's (PA2), they are the sh*t. They ride great, there quite, they handle very well in the dry, wet and are awesome in the snow. I have 3 season's on them and they look like they could handle another 2.

I went with LM25s (225/45VR) as well. This will be my third year with this set, and they still look almost new. You will be blown away at how well you can cut through 4-5" of snow. You can drive them fairly hard in the dry as well.

Gonna be the odd-one-out and suggest WS-50's. I'm in no need of high-performance anything when it comes to driving in the snow, just give me maximum possible traction (w/out chains).

the thing is, is that it doesn't snow that often, but when it does, i just need something reliable. The ws-50s do look good though

I thought the same thing too, but it only takes one bad snowstorm and one mistake to total your Evo. My reasoning was that if I'm going to spend money on dedicated snow tires, I want the absolute best assurance that I can get, so I went with Blizzak WS-50's. Are the LM-25's also a good performer in the snow, and a better performer in the dry than the WS-50's? Most likely, but I wasn't looking for any sort of compromise between snow and dry performance.

It doesn't look like you can go wrong with either. But I got a good deal on the WS-50's.

I ran WS-50s on my Integra. They were great! The WS-50 is more an all out snow/ice tire than a snow/performance tire like the LM-25. I am very happy with the snow performace with the LM-25s.
