Sport Compact Car Brake Upgrade Review Evo VS STi

Does anyone remember a while ago SCC magazine did an article about an Evo & STi (both with stock & the upgraded) brakes where they ran a "secret location" downhill course?

I remember seeing pictures of glowing red rotors, along with temperature readings; additionally, I also seem to remember that the STi's stock brake pads caught on fire.

If memory serves me correctly, Girodisc may have been one of the upgrade maufacturers for one of the cars.

Does anyone have a link to this article any more?

I can't find it, even with great Google technology.

Surprisingly? It's because they were never warped to begin with!

Why won't the warped rotor myth go away?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as I read it. SCC lost a little cachet with me when I read that statement.
