What else do I need besides lowering springs?
I'm picking up an evo IX tomorrow and am going to drop it a little. I found that hotchkis springs are pretty popular and have a good rate and price. Can anybody that has these springs or any springs shed more light as to what else I have to do the evo, being that it is AWD if that makes any difference from a RWD (alignment, shocks, rolling fenders,??) to basically do it RIGHT without sacrificing the comfort too much.
Thanks
Thanks

majority here would recommend tanabe gf or swift or works., i have espellir active gt's. ride is a bit more stiff compared to stock., ride height is lowered .9 inch front and back., def need an alignment after the spring install.

get good springs that dont drop a crazy amount but while u do that make sure u pick up struts and shocks or the set
if i was u i made the msitake and went springs id save up and get a really good set of coilovers

i'd say say drive it stock for a while and take your time figuring out exactly what you want. the car is pretty ridiculous stock, theres no reason to rush into mods but that is just my opinion.
i have considered lowering myself and have been planning on looking into this myself. i've had my evo since june and i have about 12k on her now. i have a friend with an 05 that has swifts and a friend that has an 04 with the hotchkis. Niether of them have had any major complaints that i know of, but i havent really asked either about their springs in particular.
