Toyo RA-1 would last longer, cost less, and would provide better hydroplaning resistance than the Yokohama A-048.

You can also use a great High Performance Street tire and do just fine. Here is a list of tires that I know are great street tires. I'll list them in order of price, from cheapest to most expensive.

Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212

Falken AZENIS RT-615

Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1

Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD

Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07

I not going to try and rank them, because that is just a flame fest waiting to happen. The tire I would use is the Hankook because they have great grip and are cheap as hell. Good luck on chosing

RA-1 would actually last a pinch les than the A-048 because of it's reduce treadwear rating (40 on the RA-1 vs 60 on the A-048)

i'm currently running Advan A032R's which are now discontinued & replaced by A-048. i'm expecting about 2000miles of street use with these tires & the next tire i will get will most likely be the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup over the A-048 bcuz they have a higher speed rating (y rated 186+mph vs w 168mph))

if ur just looking to replace the stock tire & get identical performance to the stock tire for less, get these:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...irePageLocQty=

also here is another Advan tire to consider and their factory on Bentleys so they can handle 199mph:

Yokohama is on a forward path as their plants are now zero emissions...

I was giving my opinion based on the fact that some guys local to me have gotten 12k - 14k on the RA-1s. Lots of rotating and flipping FTW

RA-1 have 100 tread wear and not 40. a048 in usa we get the ****ty one. they made 4 different compound, the one that you want is the soft compound which is really hard to get it hereinthe usa.

i have personally street and track with the following

Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 pretty impressive

Falken AZENIS RT-615 P.O.S

Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 not the best grip but they are very consistence

Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R The only street competition tires i would ever use. Best tires ever

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD good drag racing, but P.O.S on road course

Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07 They're okay, but for the bucks not worth it.

Is there a reason you're getting r-comps for your street tires? They are only going to last a few thousand miles, they aren't cheap, and they are not competitive racing tires. i can't imagine what there is to gain from you getting these instead of the RE-01Rs.

Despite being an r-comp, a lot of ppl have reported pretty decent life out of the RA1s when driven on the street (starting at full-depth)

"Decent" is a relative term. It's still far less than an actual street tire, and there's no benefit to having the r-comp unless it's being tracked (for fun only), in which case we return to the fact that they will wear out quickly.
