I had a similar situation with one of my RT615's, except the tread separated from the sideways while driving down the freeway. Suck @$$ Falken said they would not warranty the tire with @ 2k miles cause they said the tire didn't have any air in it...which was wrong as I for some reason checked the pressure before leaving...hmmmm...
I will never own another set of Falkens...ever again...even if they are given to me.
Falkens suck...period...

yeah 30 is pretty low.
they handle like crap when under that low pressure settings.
i run mine on 36 cold and bump it up to 42's when going to track or mt runs. because of the sidewall flex/slide. (stock 8" bbs rims)

I had the EXACT same thing happen to my stock Advans. Basically, I needed an alignment badly (they were wearing too quickly on the insides only). I had gotten lowering springs on the car (GF210's) quite some time ago, and never found time to get her realigned.
Finally, (due to the increased wear along the inside) the tire slowly went flat while I was driving, and the pressure from the lip of the rim wore through the tire exactly the same as your pics. Basically, shredded it in half.
Be sure to: 1) Check the other tires as you'll probably find some improper wear on them as well
2) After you replace tires; get realigned
3) Do not blame Falken for your poor alignment

Similar happend to my front right because the fender liner was missing a fastener and was rubbing on the inner part of my tire turns out that it was metal ?? right behind the oil cooler. Strange

I did that to stock tires at 25k miles. I didn't do any alignment after I lowered the car at 10k miles. I heard flapping from my tires. It was the tire comin apart like that. I still have a piece of the tire hanging in my garage to remind me to align the suspension annually. Those tires are worn man. Not bald but the edge is worn.

Falken azenis are GREAT tires the soft compound used to make the tire is what gives it GREAT performance. you on the other hand need better alignment and corner balance. u seem to be suffering from VERY bad camber and toe setting.
