Azenis = sh*t?

We went to the Falcons game yesterday in the evo, noticed that what when I applied the brake that there was a slight vibration - never did this before so I thought I might have to get my wheels re-balanced.

This morning I woke up and my room mate told me my front left tire is dead low.

Welp - got my lazy *** off the sofa, jacked up the car and inspected.

A WHOLE FREAKING CHUNK OF MY TIRE IS MISSING!
I was in total awe when I saw that the whole edge was missing a chunk.

Falken Azenis
255/17/40
Aprox 12,500 miles on them
No racing, no autox, nothing - all highway mileage

I then suspected that my Megan Racing Street Coils might have had something to do with it - checked it and nothing, no damage, no signs of damage or tire wear against the suspension parts.

All other 3 tires are perfect
Camber was at like -2 in front and -1 back
Tires are rotated rigorously.

Welp - let the pictures do the rest of the talking...

I'm not complaining - just wondering if this has happened before?
I guess I'm quite satisfied with the life I got out of the tires.

Whats your toe and caster set at? Eitherways, every tire company is gonna have a bad tire here and there. Contact them and show them the pics. They may just send you out a free replacement if youre vocal enough.

Falken Azenis are excellent tires. Look elsewhere for your cause.

What's your toe/caster setting? A bad toe set will kill tires 100x quicker than bad camber.

What do the other three look like? Looks to me like too much toe out. How often do you check the pressures? Camber + toe out + low pressure = death to tires.

not the tire but the owners fault, when did you last get an alignment?

Tires are kept at 30psi all the way around, I check them bi-weekly.
The other three tires are perfect - no signs of abnormal wear.

Alignment and all other adjustments were done by Kaufmann Tire.
Everything was last done end of October.

I'm not disappointed in the tires at all.
For the performance and the price I am super happy with the life I got out of them.

I will most likely ditch the Megan Coils - something I've been contemplating for awhile now as I only use the car for my work commute and the stock Blisteins were way more comfortable for that purpose.

I'm deff. looking to get another set of these - I don't see any other tire that I'd rather have on the evo. I had some Fuzion ZRI's but when you tried to get on the throttle they'd just spin.

Fourth picture shows that the center wear bar has been reached but the outside wear bars still have tread ... What's your normal tire pressure? ^^^ NEVER MIND!
