Best way to store stock shocks

I've been running ohlins for the past year and have had my stock shocks sitting in storage. I may go back to them in a year or so just for a few months while i decide which coilovers i want to upgrade to.

I currently have them stored fully assembled. Is this ok?
Or should i have them taken apart and stored in pieces.
Any input would be great.

They should be stored in an air tight facility with temperature regulated between 50 degrees Fahrenheit nd 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure you suspend them in the air and keep them from getting wet.

the best thing to do leave them assembled in trash bags and out of any damp areas. other than that they should be fine the other thing you could do is put a light coat of oil over them to keep them from rusting.
