Which 17 inch wheels to buy??

Hi

I am looking at buying some 17 inch wheels in 9 or 9,5 inch width.

Going to run 255 R-tyres on the track.

Which options do I have?

It is a must that they will fit without modifications to the car and I don't want to use spacers.

Thanks..

255s will fit on the stock wheels but some folks say there is a decent difference between the 17x8 and 17x9 with the same tire. I would go wider myself but don't want to dick up my paint rolling fenders.

As I said:

I want 17x9 wheels that I will put 255 r-tyres on. I want the wheels to fit straight on a standard evo 9 without mods in any way.

I want the wheels to be light, cheaper than 400$ each and good looking.

Any suggestions?

Will Enkei 17x9,5 NT03 fit? I guess not..

SSR Type-C RS 17x9 offset 36? (a bit expensive)
Gram lights 57? (don't know price or weight)
Any Work wheel that fits? Price?
WEDS SA-70 or SA-90 17x9, do they fit? Weight?

Any other??

good luck with $400 dollar each for what you want and without rolling fenders need to sacrifice somewhere

Seems like 5zigen FN01RC is available in 17x9 that fits straight on, correct? Which ET/Offset should I have? 35?

Who sells these wheels?

you can also go with ADVAN RS or RGII 17x9 +35 offset or +29 offset.

+29 offset will require minor fender rolling in the back fenders.

Jesus... this is SO easy!

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ght=enkei+nto3

These bolt right on, are top level track **** shoes, are light and cheap(ish).

To top it off Kyle is a great guy and seems to have these in stock ready to ship.

Yeah the 5zigen and the Enkei NT03 are the track **** standard issue wheels, a good blend of strong, light, and cheap. Even if you mess one up it is cheap to replace the damaged wheels.

Very interested in the NT03 but will the 9,5 inch wheels really fit without mods or spacers?

Yes they normally fit without mods or spacers. 255's might rub on the inside depending on your suspension set-up (I guess there have been one or two cases). Check with Kyle before ordering. He should be able to confirm if they will fit without an issue.
