v710's are a great tire for auto-x and track days. especially when you factor in they last 2x longer than hoosiers, and are cheaper. if you want to be very competetive though and have that little extra edge, money no object, go with hoosiers.

I hear some folks who like the 710s more than the A6s.

I know some folks who run Kooks as they do often sponsor folks and hand out some free tires. I must also admit that I work with a rally team that gets free rubber from Kumho but I will say that I have yet to get a free set of shoes from them...

I'm sure you could find someone who autocrosses on Hankooks. But they're not winning.

I think what everyone is trying to say here is: get the Kumhos.

noone does locally/regionally, only for prosolo and national tour events. this is true even with hankook.

I'm thinking about the Z214s as the C70s are really cheap right now. If they are within a tenth or two then they are a good value. According to the 2005 GRM review they are in the game, but give up a little longitudinally (sp). I could stand for a little less grip off the line.
