You really can’t go wrong by choosing the Ze912 if you are looking for an UHPAS (Ultra High Performance All Season) tire.

They are replacing the 512 ,which are the best selling tires they had.

I have the 512's, so next time i will go to the the 912's. They are built to last and perform.

I believe the ASX is more of a 4 season tire and the SPT is a summer/3 season tire. I have heard the SPT has outstanding wet grip and is a great all around tire.

i know i have the SPT's and they are lack luster. i mean don't get me wrong they are cheap, but even the federal 595 rs(maybe just s) and the 615's are decent tires and are around the same price as what i payed at the time.

to the OP if you are interested I will be taking my SPT's off in the next month to put some better gripping tires on. the SPT's have no more than 12k miles on them. i can get you some pics if you want once they are off. i only want 250 for the tires, but i am not sure what shipping would be

they are 245/40/17

I have the new falken 912's on my EVO and they drive nice. They work like champs even in this chicago winter. So falkens new 912s get my vote
Except that edgeracing had their database hacked about a year ago and had all their credit card info that they kept in there stolen and used. Mine was one of them.

All I got out of it was an "oops, we're sorry".

I also happen to have ASX for the winter as well. I just don't see why someone should pay say $170 per tire for a "better" all-season tire. All you're doing in the winter is chugging around in the snow in them anyways. I'd rather save that $70/per tire and add it on to my budget for a good summer/track tire. Just my opinion, unless someone has a really compelling argument when I should shell out my cash for Mich/Yoko/Pirrelli/Bridgest ALL SEASONS?

It's like saying yeah I paid 2x more for a burger that pretty much taste like any other burger for lunch, which I didn't want to eat too much to begin with since I wasn't that hungry. Save the money for the bigger and better steak dinner man!

edit- though I have to say, if your winter gives you a lot of snow, you would need a good snow tire. But for me, my winters consist of 2 snow days (ave 1 inch), and mostly just cold and rain between Dec and March, a cheap all-season is suffice in my case.

I too have the ASX's, they've been on the car for >26K miles so far with one rotation and look like I could easily get another 10K out of them with daily driving but I'm not too mean to my tires. They're starting to show a bit of wear on the outer edge but the tread still looks like it's got plenty of life left

I think the OP wanted all season tires not summer. Those would make great summer tires through.

Yup, he wanted all season tires. However, spring is just around the corner and my opinion of all season tires is not enough traction in summer with the added benefit of not enough traction in winter. I know he is on a budget so there are sometimes fiscal realities.

The falken 912's are great and have great wet/dry performance and also last a good while for this type of tire. I got them on edge racing for less than 400 shipped!! only 30 dollar shipping on there.
