About Öhlins Coilovers
Hi all.
I bought secong hand Öhlins DFV coilovers from my friend for my evo IX.
We installed it to my car. But I dont have any setup sheet.
What's the best street/performance use setups for this coilover ?
For example : front/rear height, rebound stiffness.
Thanks.

Have a look here regarding the recommended height.

I assume that the JDM and USDM DFVs are the same as they both have 10kg / 8kg spring rates.
As for the click setting the obvious way is to start from full soft for the street and see how you like it.

If you had the original instruction sheet, it tells you what default height measurements to set it at.
Full soft is fine for street - feels great. You set it to fully stiff and then 20 clicks to the softest setting. Remember the fronts are inverted so the turn direction is reversed.

What spring rates did you get the coilovers with? Was it the stock 10K (550lb/in) Front 8K (450lb/in) Rear combo? If you run it with the stock configuration you'll probably need a rear sway bar to help improve turn in and handling or you could just switch the front and rear spring rates for better turn in and a lot more over steer ... over that time I've been messing around with these I've found these general settings work well:
Race: 5-10 clicks from full stiff F or R depending on surface and tire
Street: 16-20 clicks from full stiff F or R for comfort

^^So are the front and rear springs for the CT9A the same length so you can swap them front and rear? How are you running yours...does the damping control them well if the springs are swapped F to R? I have a 3way adjustable 25mm swaybar do you think it would work best swapping them or leaving them. I am looking to pick a set of these up come late spring hopefully.

Correct the front and rear springs for the CT9A (EVO) are the same length and dimension. ~ 8' (lenght), 2.5' ID. If you are going to use a 3 way rear adjustable sway bar then leaving them would probably work best on your car (EVO 9 with front LSD). You could switch them but then then you would most likely have to use the RSB at the softest setting. The valving can easily control the change in spring rate. The Ohlins have a very good range. The engineers at Ohlins have said the shocks can easily handle a +/- 2K change in spring rate (which is the difference F to R). The safest range the shock could probably handling is +/-3K change in spring rate (according to the engineers).
