Way too much. My powdercoater completely strips the wheel for me, files down curb marks, and does a double coat (color/clear) and it's 100 per wheel for me.

Our local powdercoater quoted me $65/wheel but I'm still on the fence about doing it. He says that since my MR wheels are forged it won't mess with the structural integrity of the wheel and that he powdercoats forged wheels all the time. But then I read stuff that people post about it in the forums and it makes me second-guess it...

Yeah thats what I firgured. I found a different place that will prep and powdercoat for $80 per wheel and $45 per caliper (hi-temp powder). I'll post pics when done.

I'd say 70-100 a wheel is about right with powdercoating and all the necessary prep work..

I just had my stock rims PCed and it was done by a major PCer in Chicago. Apparently they PC stuff for helicopters and heavy industrial equipment.

That said, they only charge $175 to put them on a line and coat them any standard color. If you want to get them cleaned its another $100. So, all together it cost me $275.

I've also got quoted by some other little local guys at (per wheel) $25 for cleaning and $25 for coating. That's only $200!

SICK SPEED, you ever find anyone in the area to get them done? Id be interested to know, unless you have an issue with 2 GG MRs with black BBSs in the area. I just had to replace one, and it is now the best looking wheel on the car...
