Why doesn't Enkei offer RPF1 in black?

I've been wondering for a while now why Enkei doesn't offer the bad-*** RPF1 in a flat or gloss black finish from the factory? RPF1's are my favorite wheel as far as price vs. performance is concerned and offering it in black would add even more appeal to an already great offering.

I've been looking lately for a contact email or phone number for Enkei, but haven't been able to find anything. I'm wondering if they would consider offering it if there was enough interest generated.

evodave's black RPF1's:

Some interesting news I cam across- looks like RPF1s may come in gloss black and also bronze in the future (?) according to this:

Not sure why they don't come in colors... but Enkei Japan only lists them in silver.

I doubt you're talking about my ride but in case you are yes 17x8.5 +40 offset with Falken RT-615's (I now have Nitto 555R's). My evo is setup for drag racing so it's no where near as fancy as evodave's ride.

What type of pics are you looking for?

They come in SBC chrome look and gold for subies, but for the most part, RPF1s are kinf of al all-business wheel, not like Volk or wannabe Volk Rotas where each model comes in every color under the sun.
I can't remember which ones it is, but a US shop is offering a limited run of them in black. supposedly it's a real limited run that comes black from Enkei, not just painted by the seller.

Yeah its gruppe-s, I just figured if they make colors for other cars give us something other then just silver. Now that they're coming around in black Im definitely jumping on a set...just debating if I should wait and see if gruppe-s gets their satin ones in a 17in and the right offset or just go tirerack...

Just ran across this. I work at a retail wheel/tire/service shop and we deal with Enkei all the time. They make silver, bronze and SBC (dark chrome) as someone mentioned. They do make them in black, and from Enkei they are all black with nothing else on them. They sold them as a test/special edition to any one of their customers but the deal was you had to buy a lot of 200 (or maybe it was 500...) Tire Rack has 3 left in stock AFAIK. In November/December they will be releasing the RPF1 in black to everyone....so hang in there if you're looking for it. I already have mine on order

*I have no idea if this is supposed to be public knowledge or not. I don't see why not though, so there it is..

Quick Reply: Why doesn't Enkei offer RPF1 in black?
