grinding noise from front brakes

I have a weird grinding noise coming from my front brakes when i apply pressure. It doesnt have to be hard and i hear the noise whether i have been driving for a while or from when i first leave in the morning. My car only has 8900 miles on it so I am confused as to what would be wrong. any help would be appreciated. Thanx! oh, its an 06 IX MR

Hope that helps. Might not be right, but worth a shot since this fix is free.

I'm quessing that maybe there was some stuff between the pads and the rotters
