For the short time that I had the Z1 Star Specs they did hold nicely through the curves and all. It's just on highway trips they tend to pull to the right or left. Not good coming home late at night and the man pulls you over. Yes sir, but you see it's my tires.... Right! lol!
For the price the Z1's are great tires and a lot less then the Yokohama .

I just thought you might want to know there is no need to adjust the car. It really just might be the tires.

For the price I think they are a pretty good deal. I don't have any wandering issues (235/45/17), but during normal street driving they don't have the same instant cornering response that the A046's did. And the weighting and feedback isnt as good either. They will be cheaper in the long run and have good grip, but IMO, they are not as fun to drive on. The major reason I like driving the evo is the awesome steering and handling out-of-the box. The Dunlops take that back a notch or two.

so is this wandering thing a very common issue with the star specs? I was pretty much sold on getting these for my summer tires this year but now after reading this, im not too confident.

My ONLY knock on the Z1 SS in 235/45/17 size: After one track day and with about 5k miles on them they are LOUD. Like 'WAAWAAWAAWAA!". They are wearing very well and evenly (I run -2.0F/-1.0R camber with zero toe for street and track).

Other than that I LOVE them.

I'm not sure. I do know that the shop that installed my tires ran across an WRX with the same tires and same issue.

My car only has about 11k on it and this was my first replacement set. The pull wasn't there before. The alignment shop it top notch.

I never have had this issues. The roads out east and in the midwest are all sorts of rutted and chewed up. The Evo tracks the ruts in my experience.

I thought the same thing. Then I stepped up to 18's with a much shorter sidewall. Made a big difference.

I run Dunlop Sport Maxx on my IX GT in 245/40/17. Seem to grip really well in both wet or dry combined with tein lowering springs.

I went from Falkens to these tires and i love them!

They stick good react well to changes in the weather plus they dont wear as fast as most high performance tires.

Plus you cant beat the price.

Great Autocross tire +1
