Bilstein HD + GTWorx EVO Springs + Whiteline 24mm Rear Swaybar Install
So recently, Jeremy came to us needing a new suspension set-up badly. He'd bought the car used and although it had 8000hp, it was bouncing....i mean riding.....on a set of blown stock dampers with a certain set of GREEN springs that lower the car WAY too much. Use your imagination here.
He was tired of bouncing on blown struts and needed something good ASAP.
The goal was to get the handling of the car up to par with the rest of the abilities of the car.
After some discussion, he went with Bilstein HD dampers, our GTWorx EVO Springs, and a Whiteline Rear adjustable swaybar.
This set-up got him a FUNCTIONAL and respectable ride height, dampers that would improve handling and ride quality, and spring rates that were firm enough to improve overall grip.
And this is how the old KYBs came off the car with the GREEN springs. Notice the fact that the bumpstop is pushed up at the very TOP of the strut. Needless to say, he was on the bumpstops, probably just at rest! Obvious cause for poor handling and ride quality, and the resulting blown strut.
What's the spring rate of the bumpstops? Because that's effectively become your main "spring" when you drop the car that much.
Below is Bilstein HDs vs. KYBs. Same travel.
With the GTWorx EVO springs:
Car up on our lift:
Install done, rear sway installed as well. Car has JUST rolled off the lift in this pic, and has not settled.
Myles will come in and post his impressions of the car shortly. Jeremy will hopefully post up some more after shots.
Thanks,
Andrew

Nope, this install was postponed for a long time so we were holding these for Jeremy for a while. Probably gonna be about a month for more HD Bilsteins, but I'll try and get an updated ETA from Bilstein tomorrow.

I must say that I couldn't be happier with this new setup. It's a night and day difference from the old setup of Green Springs and blow shocks with the car resting on bump stops. I only wish that I would have been able to get this setup installed sooner! Can't wait until I finish the clutch break in period so that I can really test out the new setup! As soon as the rain clears up I will take some new pictures now that the springs have settled and post them on the thread. The service and professionalism of the guys at Racecomp was top notch, couldnt be happier with the whole transaction! -Jeremy

I have to commend GTWorx on the clever use of progressive springs in their design. Soft on the streets and harder when pushing the car to the edge. Looks like a well designed street setup.

Looking great Andrew!
I have Swift Sports, HDs, and Swift Sways (front and rear) - this is the meanest package that I have driven yet. Really impressed. If you are even thinking of something - you owe it to yourself to get the HDs and a proper spring. Add a sway set - you are golden!
