powder coating

wat do u guys think about powder coating the stock rims on a stock 2003 black evo 8 i dont really wanna buy heavy rims so i was just thinkn about powder coating the stock rims thanks for the help!

would $500 too much for all 4 wheels??

You should pay right around $400 to get all four wheels prepped and coated. Unless your wheels are damaged and need some repairs.

This seems like a lot. I just called our local PC vendor and can get all 4 wheels stripped/prepped, powder-coated and clear coated for $250.

Anything more than $50 a wheel, your paying too much.

I work at a powder coating business and 250 seems about right.500 is wayyy too much.

I am currently paying 65/wheel in LA.

If you know anyone that had their wheels coated look up close and see how it was prepped. If it is uneven or if the clearcoat and prior paint was not removed properly do not go to that shop! From what I hear the prep is #1 for good adhesion

anyone no a good place around the philly/suburb area to get my stock wheels powder coated? find a few shops but want to see if anyone had good past experiences and prices paid...thanks guys

i got my stock IX BBS powder coated gloss black at a local motorcycle shop down here in myrtle beach for $320 plus unmounting and remounting and balancing the tires...the shop did a badass job...i'm real happy with it...

Here's mine in the middle. costs around $250. Prep them yourself to
save you some cash. Just sand them with finer grit when you're happy
with the smoothness. I'm doing another set white with a red lip.

i talked to the guy and he said $250...

anyways, i hope to find somebody locally, i live in NOVA and i think he is in PA :P
