Mine are 245/40/17.
I have only put about 1200 street miles on them now. Since that last post I started to notice a lot more inside front wear from my alignment and racing and stopped driving them on the street as much because I wanted to save them for autocross and track events and kill my crappy old RT615s on the street/highway instead.

I can say that I have been very impressed with their wet performance. Amazed actually, considering the dry performance of the tire. I have gone through 2-5" deep standing water at 45mph or more with NO hydroplaning.

I have zero complaints and think they are some of the best street tires ever, regardless of price.

Is all your uneven wear in the front? What camber are you running daily that caused all the inside wear? I have RT-615's in 255/40/18 at -2*I daily as well and the wear ended up pretty even. Toe has more effect on even wear than camber does so make sure you're zero'ed out in the front.

Yes just in the front. I run -3 to -3.25 degrees comber in front. My toe is about 1/8" out. This is what is causes the inside fronts to wear a bit more. I know it's not good for tire wear, but that's why I am not driving the Z1s daily.

so far with my 255/40/17 Z1's I've done an AX in the pouring rain and a weekend @ the shenandoah circuit and I'm really impressed with their performance.

In the rain they felt amazing. the car was planted thru the turns and the steering felt very sharp. I even got a little crazy with the wheel after the turn-around but the car stayed stable. here is a vid from one of my runs in the pouring rain.

at shenahdoah last weekend I never felt the tires get greasy or let go, even during 30 minute sessions. they provided excellent grip and seemed to be able to take a whole bunch of heat w/o losing traction. I was running mid 30's HOT for pressure, I don't have any kind of tire temp equipment but the roll-over line was right where I wanted it to be. Here is a vid showing part of one of my sessions.

The tirerack web site talks about these heating up pretty quickly. Can you tell the difference?

Yes. They get up to operating temp. quickly but are still not prone to overheating easily.

I'm sitting on Megan Coilovers with -2* camber up front. I just purchased 235/40/18 off tire rack. It was $169 a tire + Shipping. I can't wait to get them. Too bad I can't really use them for the winter though.
