Talking about the metal brackets that hold the poly bushings... OE ones suck. I killed two on the OE suspension. Then again, I was not kind. With higher rate springs, it might not be as much of an issue.

Sounds like they don't come with the upgraded brackets though

The Perrins are these: http://www.perrinperformance.com/pro...gory=8&model=3 Mucho solid compared to the dinky OE set.

I was looking at the full Perrin rear bar http://www.perrinperformance.com/pro...gory=8&model=3 until this thread.

Actually, you might be able to. Swift just gives you upgraded bushings. You might be able to swap in the Swifts bushings to where the bushings need to be on the Perrin mounts.

These are lighter, but no I did not weigh them. PM GTWorx.com or Indy Evo. They might have the weights on hand or at least the shipping weight.

Are there any negative effects from putting on sway bars? I can't decide if I want to put mine on. I'd much rather the car stay neutral more than anything else

So it's just an automatic increase in handling/body stiffness/roll?

Yes, 18% front and 20% rear stiffer over OE.

In your opinion, was the front sway bar upgrade worthwhile? It looks like a pita to change it out.

Yes, I think it was well worth the install. The car rotates with ease and there is a definite different in AXing with the sways.

Can someone who has done this swap chime in with how much work it is. I had some big bars on my DSM and they were needed. So, I am tempted to go this route again.

Doing this on the ground/jacks would be more work. With a lift - easier. 2-4 hrs for the front, 1-2 rear.

Shop can get this done in good time - $200-350 for both would be about right.

did you notice any understeer characteristics by upgrading the front sway bar (not taking in consideration of type of tires) or was it pretty balanced because of the rear sway bar, im just curious cause i here mixed feelings about the fsb upgrades?

Inversely, the car was more neutral to oversteer. I have not heard of understeer issues from people with both sway bars.
