Bumpy ride...what could it be?

I have an EVO 8 with Tein S-Tech springs and the MR Bilstein struts. I recently had my car aligned because it was pulling to the left, but after the alignment, it still is pulling to the left. On top of all that my car is pretty bumpy. Could this be my springs, shocks, struts, all of the above, or something else? please help. Thanks

Just silly but have you checked your tires?

Yeah, I have inflated all the tires to what they need to be.

More than likely your problem is the springs. There are many different people that say the Tein springs are horrible for an Evo. Maybe try some Swifts or another well-known good spring brand.

yeah, that's what I thought. I didn't know Tein were soo horrible, but after reading about 50 posts saying that they are, I have changed my mind. I'll switch springs and see what happens. Thanks guys

Yeah, i'd check to see if your struts and shocks are blown. s-techs aren't kind to the bilsteins.

Check your shocks first, they might be blown. I'm running tanabe springs and my front passenger shock is leaking, basically my suspension feels like total sh**t right now because of those springs. I'm saving up for some PSS9's now.

Your Tein springs contributes to your bumpy ride most likely causing your shocks to blow.

Let me be the different one because I have teins on Blistens and they are VERY comfortable. AFAIK tein's new batch of S techs are updated to match with the blistens in our cars. Perhaps you might have the older version, but I have the newer batch(Different part number, same S techs as before) and I am pretty happy with them.

There's not much you can do when the car is lowered 2 inches and probably on the bumpstops at rest.....these cars really do not have 2 inches of bump travel to spare.

I think Bilstein can rebuild your blown strut for around 120 bucks. Not a bad deal. Give them a call.

Yeah, I got the S Techs about the same time I bought my car. I'm gonna take my car to the shop and see what they say.
