Wheel Bearing gone bad already???

I have an 03 Evo it only has 31k miles on it. For the most part I am not hard on my car at all, but I think my wheel bearing is going out on me. Its kinda intermitent, but getting worse. When I turn left it makes the sound, but if I turn left it goes away. Its on the front left wheel... guess I will go have it checked eh...... what do you guys think?

I have seen them go out that early, the front isn't so bad to change, the rear is a bit of a pain.

Yep, WB is gone. I think it is your Right one.

I would buy it brand new and for both sides (front) I'm pretty sure the other one will go bad sooner or later.

Could be from winter time. Make sure you always clean your wheels inside after drift bad for WB's.

which ever one it is, the front wheel bearing can work on either side.
when mine went bad, i could hear the noise from the drivers side and it was the drivers side wheel bearing.
i drove with it being bad for about 3 months before realizing what it was. its been about a year since i replaced only the drivers side and the passenger side one has not gone bad yet.

make sure you get a slide hammer. sometimes you dont need it. i didnt have one and it was a not going to come out. it was corroded in there. i finaly got it out with a slide hammer that i rented from autozone for free. by the way i got my hub assembly at autozone.

you dont need a slide hammer.

you simply take off the axle nut (32mm) and the 4 17mm bolts (on the back) holding the wheel bearing to the knuckle. you can use a crow bar to pop out the wheel bearing. sometimes it might be stuck in there from rust but PB blast helped a lot.

Mine went out at about 20k miles. It's very easy to replace. Remove the wheel, caliper, and rotor. Unbolt the axle nut (impact wrench will definitely help here) and the 4 bolts holding the hub to the steering knuckle?. Mine pretty much fell off as soon as I unbolted it. I went ahead and replaced both at the same time. I got mine from mitsubishiparts.net.

I tried a crow bar. A mallet. And then some. For hours. Till the bearing came apart leaving the hub housing in there. It took me 30 min slamming on it with a alife hammer to get it out. Maybe I was just unlucky. But trust me. It was rusted and corroded in there.
